Frequently Asked Questions

What is Vinyasa and restorative yoga?

Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga. It links poses, or asanas, with the breath to create smooth transitions and flowing sequences. It is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga.

Restorative yoga is a restful practice that holds yoga poses for a longer time and will often use props to support the body. It provides a passive, meditative form of yoga that allows a focus on the breath while releasing tension in the body.

Is yoga ok for me if I have had recent surgery?

In the first instance, enquire with your GP whether exercise and yoga would be suitable for you after surgery. For many, yoga provides a safe and effective form of exercise after surgery. I would be delighted to speak to you before a class to see if it is going to be suitable for you.

Can yoga support my back pain?

Yoga offers a gentle practice that is ideal for maintaining back strength and flexibility. It is also an effective way of helping to support low back pain.

Can I do yoga if Iā€™m pregnant?

Yoga is a gentle form of exercise that can provide support and many benefits during pregnancy. If you have any queries or concerns, please get in touch with me before class to chat about the suitability of the class for you and how I can provide the support you need.
